Manufacturing and Quality
NSPI is headquartered in Round Rock (a suburb of Austin), Texas. The company operates from a purpose built 50,000 sq. ft (4,600 sq. m) facility.

In addition to being ISO 9001:2008 – AS9100C certified They are compliant with ISO/IEC 80079-34:2011 Including ATEX 95, the Directive on Equipment and Protective Systems Intended for use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres (94/9/EC), 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, ANSI N45.2, ASME NQA-1, ASME Section III, Division 1, Class 1, 2 and 3, CSA Can3-Z299.1, and RCC-E/M quality standards.

NSPI maintains an on-site, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable Metrology Laboratory that provides comparison temperature calibrations from -196 °C to 700 °C (-320 °F to 1292 °F) on the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90) for temperature sensors and instrumentation. NSPI can also perform relative calibrations at the boiling point of liquid nitrogen. The Laboratory is equipped with fluidized baths, tube furnaces, standard platinum resistance thermometers and standard thermocouples. Time response testing is performed in full compliance with ASTM E-644. NSPI test reports are comprehensive and include, when required, “as found” and “as left” data.

The Metrology Laboratory is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), which meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994. Because the A2LA has mutual recognition arrangements with other global laboratory accreditation systems, test and calibration data from NSPI’s Metrology Laboratory is accepted in most countries of the world. The A2LA has mutual recognition arrangements with the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC), International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the European Cooperation for Accreditation (EA).

Certified Cleanroom
NSPI maintains a cleanroom which has been independently certified to the International Standard 14644-1 for ISO Class 7 at 0.5 micron at rest. The cleanroom supports NSPI’s activities within the Nuclear, Biopharmaceutical and Aerospace markets.

Many of NSPI’s processes are proprietary and are geared to assure that from initial concept to finished product, the integrity of the design is maintained.

NSPI’s New Product Development (NPD) process has six specific phases. Each phase consists of a set of unique activities related to the development process. These phases and activities are designed to ensure that (a) the development is accomplished in a logical progression, (b) the intermediate development results remain on target and (c) the final design output meets all product specifications and is ready for manufacture and sale. At the end of each phase there is a formal Tollgate Review which has to be passed prior to proceeding to the next phase.

Each of NSPI’s finely tuned manufacturing cells is configured to provide customers with the highest quality products, while maintaining lead times that are among the shortest in the industry. NSPI extensively uses Kaizens to drive continuous improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. The cutting-edge manufacturing principles employed include 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work and Kanban.Stringent quality control is implemented at every stage. All NSPI associates are encouraged to stop their process if they believe a potential quality problem may exist. NSPI maintains an intensive training program to insure their associates are well versed in the latest technologies, equipment and problem-solving tools.

With a relentless focus on quality and a dedication to lean manufacturing NSPI has become a preferred partner for numerous global OEMs and end users because They always strive to exceed their customers’ expectations. NSPI has the experience, technology and resources to meet and exceed your needs on time, every time.
